Salvatore Accolla of Rock Tavern, NY a Furniture Restorer and antiquer passed away on Thursday July 14, 2022 at St. Lukes Cornwall Hospital Newburgh. He was 103.
Sal is the son of the late Carmelo and Marianna Accolla, he was born on July 2, 1919 in Messina, Italy. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Knights of Columbus Council 444 Newburgh, Francis J Gorman Fourth Degree Assembly 696 Newburgh Dad was a good simple man of many artistic talents. He was told the saints whose statues he refurbished would greet him in heaven.
Sal is the widower of Mary Accolla, He is survived by his daughter JoAnne Accolla and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Sal is predeceased by his brother Antonino and Valentino Accolla and one nephew Carmelo Accolla.
Visitation will be from 4-pm to 8pm on Tuesday July 19, 2022 at Hudson Valley funeral Home 239 Quassaick Avenue New Windsor, NY A funeral mass will be 10am on Wednesday July 20, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church Newburgh, entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Mausoleum Newburgh.
