Obituary of Angelina Alonge Leombruno

Angelina Alonge Leombruno, 106 years old, long time resident of Orange County, NY joined her loving husband Bruno in eternal rest on February 9, 2021. “Angie” as she was known by friends and family is predeceased by her husband Bruno Leombruno in 1983, her granddaughter Lisa Leombruno, and her siblings Nina Alonge, Anna Alonge Catanzaro, Vito Alongi, Leonardo Alonge and Vincent Alongi. She leaves behind her sons John Leombruno, his wife Grace and Anthony Leombruno , his wife Nora, niece Anna Maria Alongi, nephews Anthony Alongi and Leonard Alongi, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Nona as she came to be known was born in America but raised in Sicily. As a teenager she came back, living in Brooklyn, NY until she and her Bruno (as she called him) moved to Orange County in 1953. She worked as a seamstress from the age of 14 in Brooklyn, later moving to Newburgh and Florida until she retired. Angie lived in the home she and Bruno built until she was 100. There was nothing more important to Angie than her family. She will always be remembered as a loving force of nature. Visitation will be 3:oo PM to 6:00 PM Monday February 15, 2021 and Tuesday February 16, 2021 at Hudson Valley Funeral Home, 239 Quassaick Ave, New Windsor, NY 12553, (845) 562-4411. (Hudsonvalleyfh.com) A funeral mass in celebration of Angela will be held February 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Robinson Avenue, Newburgh, NY. Entombment will follow at Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Rt 9w, Newburgh, NY Masks must be worn at all times. Social distance rules will be followed.
