Obituary of Cara T Rajbhandari

Cara T. Rajbhandari (Oppenheimer) of New Windsor, NY passed away on Monday October 16, 2023 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence Newburgh after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Cara was 55. She is the daughter of Cheryle Branson and the late Jeffrey Oppenheimer. She was born on November 6, 1967 in Ramapo, NY Cara is survived by her children Michael Oppenheimer, Daniel Oppenheimer, Diethard (Ricky) Huck III and his wife Kirsten Huck, and Erica Huck. Grandchildren Marylin Oppenheimer, Nashanti Burden, Carter Huck, Ariel Huck, Alana Huck, Madeline Oppenheimer, brother Jeffrey Oppenheimer, sisters Morgan Oppenheimer, Arienne Oppenheimer, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cara is predeceased by one son Austin Huck and one sister Andrea Lanzilotti. Cara loved baking and cooking delicious meals for her family and friends and enjoyed cuisine from many cultures around the world which she infused into her recipes. Her most coveted dish though was her humble “Meatloaf Double-Beatloaf”. She was a loving caretaker, and friend to many. Her dinner table was always open to share coffee and conversation. She always had a spare shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen, and hand to hold. She will be missed dearly. At Cara’s request services will be private.
