Andrew DiGiugno Jr. was called home by our Lord on June 16, 2024 surrounded by family. Son of Andrew and Anna (Speciale) DiGiugno, he was born on August 24, 1943 in Bronx, NY. Andrew was retired from O&R utilities and proudly served his country as an honorable member of the US Army. While stationed in Korea, he met and married the love of his life, Sue. Andrew was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He maintained a great sense of humor even during his most challenging days, always making everyone around him laugh. Andrew and Sue, his wife of 60 years, enjoyed taking their morning walks together and visiting their favorite breakfast spot, McDonalds, every day. He enjoyed spending time with family and going to casinos. Andrew’s biggest joy apart from marrying Sue was being a grandfather to all of his grandchildren. He will be missed dearly and always remembered, especially for his sense of humor. JUMANJI!” Andrew is survived by his beloved wife Sue, his children and their spouses: Anna Rodstrom (Gregory), Andrew DiGiugno (Julie), Thomas DiGiugno, Julie DiGiugno; his grandchildren: Jennifer (Jonathan), Samantha, Heather, Nicholas and Jake; his brother Mark, sister Dorothy, as well as several nieces and nephews. Andrew was predeceased by his parents and brother Angelo. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday June 21, 2024 at 10am at Sacred Heart Church (300 Ann St., Newburgh). Burial will follow at St. Francis cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Andrew’s name.
