Carmine Damario of New Windsor, NY a retired laborer for Local Union 17, passed away on Friday July 12, 2024 at home. He was 94. He was born on February 26, 1930 in Newburgh, NY. Carmine is the son of the late Frances Damario Malandro. Carmine lived his entire life in this community. He was an avid builder of several homes and commercial buildings. He retired from Local 17 as a laborer after 31 years of service, serving as a foreman in this capacity for 20 years. In his retirement years, he could be found tending to his basil, peppers and flowers in his garden. Loved by many people young and old for his concern for them and offering his assistance in whatever way he could. May his memory be a blessing, may he be remembered for his charity and love for others. What stories he could tell. Carmine is survived by his wife Louise Poland Damario, 2 sons Mark Damario, and Frank Damario. 2 grandchildren Danielle Damario and Madeline Damario, and 1 niece and 1 nephew. Carmine is predeceased by his 2 sisters, Giovina Damario and Rosina Damario. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 18, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church Newburgh, burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery New Windsor, NY. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hudson Valley Funeral Home, Inc.
