MARY T. CONTARINO December 12, 1919 - January 15, 2018 New Windsor, NY Mary T. Contarino of New Windsor, NY a retired machine operator for Dubettte Handbags passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018, at home. Mary was 98. She is the daughter of the late Santo and Annie Sara Trifilo. Mary was born on December 12, 1919, in Vails Gate, NY. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Mary was the matriarch of our family. She loved cooking for her family and you could always find her in the kitchen. Her meatballs were the best in the world but her eggplant was requested at every family affair. She loved her grandkids and was always willing to help, play and teach them. Mary was strong, independent and loved by all. She will truly be missed. We love you. The family would like to thank, Dr. B. Hadid and his associates for taking such good care of her over the years, Hospice for being so caring in every way - a special thanks to nurse Diedra for always being there when we needed her. A very special thank you to her aid Inelta for taking such good care of her. Mary is the widow of Paul Contarino. She is survived her son, Alfred Contarino and her daughter, Regina DiGovanni; her grandchildren, Candy Gano, Shellie Byrd, Alfred Contarino Jr. all of Covina, CA., Bryan DiGovanni, Kim Masciola of New Windsor, NY.; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Bryan, Christopher, Ava, Paul, Andy, Allison, Rochelle, Alfred III, Courtney, Ryan, Domnick, Anthony; great-great-grandchildren, Andre and Chloe; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by two great-grandchildren, Hollie, Marrissa and three brothers and eight sisters. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
